Patricia "Patsy "Lewis of Jasper, TN passed away peacefully Thursday, January 4, 2018, at the age of 84. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben Moore and Ruby Mae Hornsby, husband Harlan “Fat” Lewis, and granddaughter Brandi Johnson.
Born in Jasper, Tennessee on June 9, 1933 she was a graduate of Marion County High School where she met the man of her dreams, Fat Lewis. She was a graduate of Edmonson Business College. She worked for many years in the Marion County School system and retired from the Marion County Courthouse. Following her retirement, she volunteered at the Jasper Public Library and with her ladies group visiting patients at the nursing home. She was the ultimate organizer and delegator. Patsy was also an avid reader, as well as a devoted Tennessee Lady Vols fan. Patsy “Nana” was known for her excellent cooking and loved to travel around the country with friends and family. In addition to spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper.
Left to cherish her memory are brother Ben Hornsby, daughters Lynn (Tommy) Richmond, Lisa (Kelly) McBryde; grandsons Dr. Heath (April) Thacker, Garrett (fiancé Ashley) McBryde, Dr. Lucas McBryde, Colton (Brandie) Thacker; great grandchildren Brittanie, Caden, and Cole Thacker.
Visitation will be held at Jasper Memorial Funeral Home this Sunday, Jan. 7th, from 12:30pm- 2:30pm CST followed by a private graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jasper Public Library or the Alzheimer’s Association.
