Velma (Holder) King

Velma Holder King of South Pittsburg passed away, Monday, Dec. 22, surrounded by her loving family. Velma worked for many years at Long John’s Silvers in Kimball before retiring as a sales associate from Walmart. Velma's greatest treasure in life was her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, John Edward King and her daughter Frances King Hayes. Her parents: Nathan and Cleo Holder, two sisters: Geneva Totherow and Tressie Phillips; one brother Donnie Holder.

Velma is survived by her 3 sons: David King, Doug King (Danielle Brown), and Daniel & Neeka King, and her daughter, Cindy & Jasmine King. One brother, Rickey Holder & her grandchildren: Levi Brown, Madison Byrd, Jacob Hayes, Olivia Hayes, Gabe Hayes, Ambreen King, Evelyn King, Andrew King, Colt Cochran & Jayson Cochran.

Special family friend Amy Templeton will give tribute.

Family will accept friends Tuesday, Dec. 23, from 4-8pm and Wednesday, Dec. 24, from 10-12pm.
